Bushfire Hazard Level Assessments for the Leeuwin-Naturaliste Sub-regional Strategy
Strategen-JBS&G Fire Planning Management team has been appointed to undertake Bushfire Hazard Level Assessments for the Leeuwin-Naturaliste Sub-regional Strategy.
The Leeuwin-Naturaliste Sub-regional Strategy is a State Government Initiative, led by the Western Australian Planning Commission and provides direction and guidance to the City of Busselton and the Shire of Augusta-Margaret River on complex planning issues while balancing economic, social and environmental aspects over the next 20 years.
The Fire Planning Management team in Perth has been appointed to undertake Bushfire Hazard Level (BHL) Assessments for the Strategy over the following investigation areas:
- Abbey Planning Investigation Area
- Dunsborough Planning Investigation Area
- Vasse North Planning Investigation Area
- Vasse South Planning Investigation Area
- Margaret River Planning Investigation Area.
These BHL Assessments will outline potential bushfire risks and propose management measures to appropriately manage the risk to future land uses and guide consideration for the suitability of the land area for potential change in use.
In delivering these BHL Assessments, our Fire Planning Management Team will undertake stakeholder engagement and maintain close liaison with Local and State Government departments.
