JBS&G Australia acquires digital division of Adelaide film company 57 Films

JBS&G Australia acquires digital division of Adelaide film company 57 Films

57 Films Media Release Edits

Leading Australian environmental consultancy JBS&G Australia Pty ltd (JBS&G) is growing its Adelaide office, with the acquisition of the digital services division of established South Australian film production company 57 Films.

The new digital division will broaden JBS&G’s existing Digital and Creative Solutions and Corporate Affairs services to its clients nationally and enable 57 Films to focus on its original film production slate, while still providing corporate film services exclusively to JBS&G clients.

The two companies have worked closely together for many years on a number of online learning and training solutions, corporate films and visual content for clients locally and internationally.

JBS&G offers a range of environmental consulting services further supported by both an in-house Digital and Creative Solutions team as well as a Corporate Affairs consultancy, Consentium.

JBS&G Chief Executive Officer Andrew Lau said the partnership was a natural evolution for the two companies which were both feeling excited about the new chapter.

“JBS&G Australia and 57 Films have been partners for many years, delivering creative storytelling and communication outcomes for our clients. We love working with them and the work they do. Like any healthy relationship, we were ready to move to the next stage, and see this as the perfect next step for both organisations.” Andrew said.

“The current COVID-19 landscape has accelerated the need for the delivery of innovative and creative digital and online solutions for communication and engagement. The acquisition of the digital services division of 57 Films means JBS&G will be able to provide our clients with the best solutions in the market, to effectively communicate with their teams, stakeholders, clients and communities.”

“Our in-house service offering will broaden to include a range of digital learning, training and induction solutions, branded visual content, animation and fully-immersive virtual reality experiences, including off-site training, induction and safety assets.

“This acquisition also enables us to further cement our strong working partnership with 57 Films, with inside access to their corporate, documentary and feature film production services for our clients.”

57 Films is an Adelaide-based production company creating original content for both local and international audiences, through television series, documentaries and feature films.

57 Films CEO Paul Ryan said he was excited about the partnership, which will allow the company to focus on its original film and documentary production while continuing to provide corporate film services to an expanded client portfolio through JBS&G Australia.

“Having worked with JBS&G for many years, for our relationship to evolve with this mutual involvement is very exciting,” he said.

“I really look forward to the positive outcomes for both businesses and our clients, and I'm eager to see where this next phase takes us. With JBS&G acquiring our digital services division, this allows 57 Films to grow into the next stage for developing and focusing on our original IP slate.

“We have a number of factual projects and a feature film in strong development which we hope will enter into production in 2022”.
