JBS&G launches inaugural Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan
JBS&G is proud to launch the company’s first Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan (Reflect RAP), outlining our commitment to making a difference across the communities we connect with, as well as for the empowerment of all first Australians.
Our Reflect RAP focuses on our commitment to learning and raising awareness to ensure there is a shared understanding and ownership of our reconciliation journey within our organisation. This will enable us to build sustainable momentum to drive positive change opportunities and contribute towards achieving key milestones for lasting reconciliation outcomes.
Chief Executive Officer Andrew Lau said JBS&G is committed to developing a genuine understanding of how our daily activities, both as individuals and as an organisation, influence the communities in which we interact.
“Our company has a powerful ambition to join in on the collective voice for reconciliation with First Australians,” he said.
“Strong relationships between our people and those in our orbit have always been central to living our care and trust culture, and we strive to build meaningful connections and commitments through mutual respect and inclusive workplace practices.
“I am proud to introduce JBS&G’s Reflect Reconciliation Action Plan and our commitment to working together for our shared future, in the spirit of reconciliation."
Reconciliation Australia CEO Karen Mundine welcomed JBS&G Australia to the RAP program, with the formal endorsement of the company’s inaugural Reflect RAP in February this year.
“This Reflect RAP enables JBS&G Australia to deepen its understanding of its sphere of influence and the unique contribution it can make to lead progress across the five dimensions of reconciliation: race relations; equality and equity; institutional integrity, unity and historical acceptance.
“Getting these first steps right will ensure the sustainability of future RAPs and reconciliation initiatives provide meaningful impact toward Australia’s reconciliation journey.
“Congratulations JBS&G Australia, welcome to the RAP program and I look forward to following your reconciliation journey in the years to come.”
